, spending 121 days -- sorry. beating the old record of 107. submits it to guinness. guinness says, oh, sorry, we don't have any openings in that particular record this time around, we cannot accept what you've done. so basically, he did all this and then they rejected this guy and said no, you didn't break the record, you're not getting in the book here after all of that, all those snakes. he was with not only all -- two black mambas, two green mambas, all these dangerous snakes. and if you don't remember what the black mamba was, of course you remember the great movie "kill bill." the black mamba had that incredible scene where he killed that guy there and all that. can you imagine, he went to all these lengths, stayed in that room, and did not get in the book? >> you know what, though? i actually have to say i think the guinness book, they have really stringent rules -- >> they're strict. >> i think what they're basically saying is there was no one who could verify probably what he did. i mean i hate to be a pessimist but -- >> rules are rules, i guess, but guinness kind of want to prevent

. guinness hasn't weighed in yet. >>> now for a look at your national and regional wlr, here is bill karins with your national and regional forecast. >> we're looking forward to the weekend. we are dealing with a tropical storm out there. a lot of people wondering will this ever affect the united states. it's possible. but it would at least be 7 to 10 days from now. this is tropical storm matthew. you notice it heads up to here to belize and affects the yucan areas from cancun through southern mexico into tuesday. so we've got a -- this is going to be a very slow moving storm through upcoming weekend. after this point, it's unsure if it would move into the gulf or dissipate over land here. that's tropical storm matthew. the big story here in the states has been the heat. it was 90 degree heat. you can see it from dallas almost to chicago. d.c. was 93 yesterday. everywhere in red, the whole southeast and tennessee valley was in the 90s yesterday and today is going to be just as warm because that front shedding through st. louis and chicago. we have at least one more warm day before the coole

'm gonna look in the guinness book. there i was, nodding out at the headrest with my shoe going -- [ buzzing noise ] [ light laughter ] so i do that. there were a pack of dogs in france that, you know, they go -- [ making barking noises ] you know, they try and rough you up and -- >> jimmy: is this part of the tour package? [ laughter ] you can pay for that? >> and they kept attacking my boy, my 6-year-old boy. like, nipping at him, right? and he was like -- a little fragile about being attacked by a wild dog. >> jimmy: "thanks, dad, this is great." >> yeah. . this is not something you'll see every day. 69 mexican cowboys clinched the "guinness book of world records" title for the greatest number of cowboys simultaneously lasoing. they twirled the ropes for nearly three minutes. they beat out last year's record which was set in texas with just 23 participants. this is a much larger group. it's all part of the 17th annual mariachi festival in guadalajara, mexico. congratulations. if you think your labor day party has a lot of food, take a look at what is going on in two other countries this weekend. first in mexico. record set for the longest taco ever made. the 164-foot taco filled with pork, pineapple, beans, rice. if that is not your style, check this out. a big burger! chefs used 100 pounds of meat. the end result weighed more than 60 pounds and measured more than five feet in diameter. i want to know who ate it. that's it for us in washington.
